Peppercorn Books and Press is a publisher and distributor of high quality books and materials for new adult learners. Our materials reflect practice and research in adult education that is learner centered and that is grounded in participatory and community based models of education.

Peppercorn has a special role in distributing publications from North American educational and social action organizations, non-profits and small publishers whose publications are not always easy to obtain.

Peppercorn imports publications from adult education publishers in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Kenya, South Africa and other countries.

As an educational bookseller and distributor, Peppercorn is also able to supply books from most commercial publishers in the USA and overseas.

Through our overseas contacts, we are frequently able to locate hard-to-find international publications.

Peppercorn is based in North Carolina. We serve all North America.

Peppercorn's core collection includes over 1,000 titles. They include a strong collection of readers written for new adult readers and other books for adult learners and their teachers. Because we import from a number of African publishers, we have an interesting list of books about Africa. This includes books in a number of African languages.
