Not By Myself is a student-generated magazine published by Literacy South between 1992 and 1999.  It was designed to be an outlet for students to publish their writing and to fill a gap in reading materials for adult learners that reflect their culture and experience.  The contributions cover a variety of topics and are of varying lengths and levels of difficulty.  The writings for each issue were selected by a student advisory group and each volume includes a section about the production of that issue.

This second volume includes writings from students in North Carolina and Mississippi and an essay by Jereann King on Supporting Student Publishing.
