This is the companion book to A Somali School Grammar (960-0006) which is the first Somali language grammar for Somali speakers intended as a grammar book for students in high schools and as a reference teaching tool for their teachers. It provides an introduction to grammatical concepts and categories, and gives explanations and examples of the uses and functions of the noun, verb, noun phrase, sentence, etc.
Beyond the school setting, it will be of general interest to Somalis who wish to know more about the grammar of their language and who may want some guidelines for teaching Somali to their children.
