"Not By Myself" is a student-generated magazine published by Literacy South between 1992 and 1999. It was designed to be an outlet for students to publish their writing and to fill a gap in reading materials for adult learners that reflect their culture and experience.
The writings for each issue were selected by a student advisory group. Each volume includes a section about the production of that issue and an essay on generating student writing.
"Not By Myself" is illustrated with wonderful photos of most authors.
