Fiction and nonfiction from some of North Carolina’s best and most well known writers, as well as a liberal and diverse selection from many lesser known but highly talented writers edited by Richard Krawiec of Voices Community Press.
Richard writes: "When discussing writers, people often forget the other half of the equation-readers. In making selections for this anthology, I wished to compile a miscellany of prose that would appeal to the diversity of readers in this state."
A portion of the sales of this book will be used to fund writing workshops for at-risk children and adults in homeless shelters, literacy classes, housing projects, prisons, and elsewhere.
Books at this level are suitable for students reading at a High School or GED level, and for adults who read confidently and regularly. They are included here because of regualr demand for them, or because of the inherent interest of their content.
