TOFHLA is used to measure functional health literacy - both numeracy and reading comprehension - using health-related materials such as prescription bottle labels and appointment slips. It is designed to assess adult literacy in the health care setting: by health care providers, to determine the adequacy of their patients' reading and understanding of health care materials needed for their health care or health education, and by researchers, to assess patient health literacy as a variable in their research.
This package includes both long and short versions, in English and in Spanish, and all instructions for administration and scoring. The purchase of this package includes a license to reproduce the assessment instruments by the purchaser, for use in their own research or testing program.
IF YOU ARE PURCHASING THIS ITEM, PLEASE EMAIL THE NAME OF THE END USER TO PEPPERCORN BOOKS SO THAT THE LICENSE IS ISSUED TO THE CORRECT PERSON.
